    Description

From opening day of Disney’s California Adventure theme park on February 8, 2001 until its closing on July 31, 2011 to make way for Buena Vista Street, the place to grab some ice cream and chill - literally - was Bur-r-r Bank Ice Cream.  Found in a shop inside the shell of the famous California Zephyr, a train service that travelled from San Francisco to Chicago from 1949 to 1970, you could indulge in a variety of ice cream flavours, combinations and sizes of ice cream, and while waiting on your order could spend the time admiring all of the rail-related artwork and trimming inspired by the Zephyr, then take your concoction outside to the “train platform” and enjoy the daily parades or just people-watch.
You could have your ice cream in a cone, a cup, or for a special treat, order your ice cream to be served in their unique Mickey Mouse ice cream bowls.  Each bowl, measuring 7” from ear to ear, 4” from the opening to the base, and 4 3/4” from the back of the head to the tip of Mickey’s nose, holds 16 ounces of liquid (root beer floats anyone?) and a LOT of ice cream.  The back of Mickey’s head is frosted but the front is clear so that you can enjoy all the lovely layers and know when you’re almost out of ice cream.  The smile on Mickey’s face makes it seem as though he’s enjoying the sundae as much as you are.  Proudly made in the USA, both bowls are in excellent condition with no discoloring, scratches, chips or cracks.
