    GREEN LIGHT "SOUTHERN RAILWAY" MATCHBOOK. Pre-Owned  "The Southern serves the South," the slogan went. "From the Potomac & Ohio Rivers to the Gulf of Mexico and from the Mississippi River to the Atlantic Ocean. The Southern Railway was a Class 1 Railroad with headquarters in Washington, D.C. They were founded in 1894 and in 1982 they merged with the Norfolk & Western to form the Norfolk Southern. In 1971, the "SOU" reported 3,854 million net ton- miles of revenue freight and 11 million passenger miles. The Yellow, Green, and White Color Scheme of the "Tennessean" was a nice looking Loco in the 1940s. This FULL MATCHBOOK is in Excellent Shape; even the Staple is Shiny.
