TRUE PIECE OF ALLMAN BROTHERS HISTORY!
You will receive a GENUINE ORIGINAL one page letter as pictured:
It is HANDWRITTEN by Jaimoe..."Jai Johnny Johanson" at the time...the future iconic drummer of The Allman Brothers!
It is dated May 19, 1968...EIGHT MONTHS BEFORE Jaimoe would formally begin working with Duane Allman and TEN MONTHS BEFORE there even was an Allman Brothers Band!!
It was written to Twiggs Lyndon, who would become the Road Manager for the Allman Brothers Band. Twiggs  was working for a famous booking agency and was on the road with a number of R&B acts in the 60's; he was always interested in finding, uncovering, and securing good talent, especially those who could work well with others
The content is ABSOLUTELY amazing, ESPECIALLY with the reference to Lamar Williams! As the letter's content shows, Jaimoe was appreciative of the connection with Twiggs and asked if there was work in Macon (Georgia), both in and out of the studio
The text of Jaimoe's letter is as follows:
"5-19-68
Dear Twiggs -
How are things? They are cool here.
Dig man I am wondering, how are things in Macon, for work, until the studio opens up? Work around town and jobs out of the office.
If I can do something like that I am ready to shit now. I want to bring my main man Lamar Williams with me. He's a bass player. He plays like the cat up in Motown Jamison. I just want to get me and him out of here. So let me know as soon as you can. Maybe we can put together a group and work around town and out of the office.
So let me know as soon as possible.
