    Description

The shutter count was 245,036 when i got this camera last week. I've  added about 50 shots to that amount. I got it because I thought I wanted to replace my D800 with it but changed my mind afterward and am selling this D4.
    Items included in this listing:
-D4 camera body with body cap
-Tamron manual focus AE 28-70mm lens with Nikon Adaptal mount
-Nikon MH-26a charger with cord, used
    -Nikon EN-El18 battery, used
-Nikon D4 right angle , rotating view finder with adjustable diopter
Cosmetically, it's got some usage shine on it and some tiny scratches and nicks on the bottom that you can see in the 36.6 MP photographs that aren't noticeable to the naked eye.
I don't clutter my listing with product descriptions and specs or superlatives about Nikon because they bury my written description and I don't want people
    to buy it
who don't know anything about this camera without first educating themselves.
Note that i just got into high end DSLR equipment after using SLR film cameras and digital point& shoot ones for years. The reason I say this is because I am amazed at how easy these Nikon DSLRs make it to use my old manual lenses with them. Even with my bad eyes, the D4 and the D800 are easier to focus with my old lenses than any of my SLRs were.
This is due to the built in viewfinder adjustable  diopter and the high end rear LCD screens of the DSLRs which are better than the ones on my point and shoot cameras. So that's why I felt comfortable including an old cheap lens like this with a camera that cost k new, bec ause it stillworks better than every on this newer Nikon technology.  Also, the manual lenses are all full frame lenses before there was such a distinction which means they are FX lenes that are DIRT CHEAP.
    in fact  after going
DSLR recently for the first time and mounting my old manual focus lenses, i was so excited,  I went out and bought 2 more mf lenses for a little over 0 after looking at the ridiculous prices they want for inferior optics DX lenses! One purchase, for was for a 50th anniversary macro 24-135mm
Tamron AF SP lens first marketed in 2000, again, a lens for "full frame" film  cameras BEFORE there was an FX vs. DX distinction.
in fact I quickly realized that I prefer full manual shutter and aperture settings on my D800 and only putting the ISO in auto, giving me full control and instant access to both shutter speed and aperture while the camera uses auto ISO to automatically calibrate the exposure at any Fstop and shutter speed I have chosen, even though the DSLR can, if I so choose automatically control the aperture of my old lenses. In fact the camera still does control the Fstop because I ve got is set to manual select aperture with the camera dial rather than with the aperture ring.
