    Super Cool Rare Find
    This listing is for an old
    metal ‘tab button’, from the early 1940s.
    It says “10%”, which was meant to indicate that the person wearing it was taking ten percent of their wages in war bonds in order to help fund the U.S.A. during WWII.
    What Are War Bonds?
    The concept behind war bonds is simple: A nation sells some debt and uses the proceeds to fund military options. They are essentially a loan to the government to help fund a war. Usually, they are marketed directly to citizens, who purchase them because they wish to support the war effort and because they offer the potential for profit.
