VINTAGE NAUTICAL 22 1/2" SOLID BRASS PORTHOLE
Authentic Solid Brass Porthole obtained from an Oakland,California Marine Ship Dismantling Yard in the mid 1970's. I searched for an undamaged porthole for years before finding one that wasn't
scratched, gouged or beat up, and planned to use it in a new home. Unfortunately those plans changed, but it has been stored for decades and is currently in a
custom made storage and /or shipping box as evidenced by the photos. (The weight of the porthole with the box is just over 100 lbs.)
The Outside Diameter of the brass frame is 22.50". The outside glass diameter is 17.75". It is in superb condition. Not a cheap reproduction but an original Maritime artifact. It is very heavy, all components are fully functional and the glass is exceptionally thick and clear. It is perfect for the most discriminating of Buyers who truly want the real thing and don't want to spend a boatload of money trying to restore one to such nice condition. Could easily be polished to a high gloss finish.
